We Made It!

Well, we all made it! Even Bo made it with little to no trauma (he was pretty sedated!).

It finally hit me that I have moved to Seattle when the plan landed at Sea-Tac Airport. But it was a nice way to move. I had daylight until just about the time we landed. I saw some awesome mountains! And I actually saw the top of Mt. Rainier, which I was told was a rare occurance!

Then driving to our new place, I had a great view of Seattle. It has a rather different skyline. What is striking, is that Qwest Stadium - where the Seahawks play - there are these blue neon arches. Then with the city lights and the Space Neddle in the back ground! Cool view!

Saturday the 28th, I went in search of Walmart and didn't find it (later realized that I had directions to the Walmart pharmacy at the Sam's Club!). But did find K-Mart and since have found the other essentials - Walmart, Target and Babies R'Us!). Mike found a park not too far from the house, which apparently was some sort of base.

The park was huge! We walked about a mile down this closed section for dogs to go off leash, before we got to the doggy beach. Bo was in heaven! I think that is a place we will probably visit often as a family. It was nice bonding time as well as good exercise for all of us - well, not yet for Atticus - but he did get to see some cool stuff!

Monday, Memorial Day, we drove up to Mount St. Helen's. I started to get dizzy around 2,000 feet and then felt real vertigo at 3,000 feet. But what a site! Not like the mountains we have back East! And to see the remains of the damage that was done 25 years ago this past May! Awesome...

We thought our furniture would be here Thursday or Friday but Michael called Thursday to say the movers wouldn't be here until Saturday (%@#&!!!). In the meantime we have all been hanging out on the air matteress.

At first we were watching movies on Mike's laptop but on Tuesday he got a 13" TV that a client gave to him a while ago. We could only get about 2 1/2 channels. I watched alot of People's Cout, King of Queens and Becker. Thursday, cable was installed. Now I have something like 70 something channels and the choices aren't too much better - there are just more of them!

Well, I am going to sign off now. I have some pictures that I will share when my own computer is set up. So, until then...

LOVE!!!
